"I undertook the course shortly after I bought a 6 month old young horse. It enabled me to reflect on best practice and helped me think about the nature of horses and how that knowledge could better reflect on how I am going about training my young horse. It helped me see things through a horse's eye.

It is said that a good teacher is like a candle, they consume themselves to light the way for others. In my opinion this is what Sue Gardner has achieved by developing the Applied Equine Behaviour Home Study Programme. Sue encourages her students to be reflective and understand how connected we are with our horses. You gain an appreciation for the similarities we share with our equine friends, yet also develop an understanding for our differences. In my opinion the programme helps us to broaden our perspective so that we can grasp the complex web of factors which affect our human/horse relationships.
